MARDIN - Wife of hearing and speech handicapped young person who residing in Mardin was stuck in Qamishli in control of PYD. The young girl will not be sent to Turkiye until the money that the PYD wants is paid.

Due to the civil war in their country, they fled from Qamishli town of Syrian Kurdistan and settled in Kızıltepe district of Mardin, Siham Ezzo (20) who went to for her brother’s funeral, wife of Halit who is hearing and speech disabled, son of Helluş family was stuck in Qamishli, city under PYD control.

Fatma (50) and Abdulkadir Helluş (57), who have escaped from the war in their country and settled in the Media neighborhood of Kızıltepe, stated that Siham Ezzo (20), wife of their disabled son Halit (29) has been detained in Qamishli in Syria for 4 months.

The family stated that they are unable to pay 3 thousand TL for the bride, is waiting for help elsewhere.

Halit, who was depressed after his wife was stuck, told gestural that he want his wife to arrive very soon that he missed her very much.

Abdulkadir Helluş, who told the authorities that he was tortured for not paying 3 thousand TL for the bride, expressed his troubles as follows:

"My son, Halit, is born as hearing and talking disabled. His wife went to Syria for condolence, but she can’t come back. Syrian side wants 3 thousand TL from her. We do not have any money, we are poor, and we are in a very difficult situation. My son wanted to commit suicide because his wife could not come. We persuaded him hard. I hope
Allah will help us bring his wife. There is nothing we can do, I hope the state will help us bring back his beloved. I'm barely working. I have to pay the rent and house expenses. My son cannot even talk because he is disabled. Sometimes we do not even see 1 Turkish Liras in our pocket. Where do we find 3 thousand Turkish Liras? I hope the authorities will help us in this regard. My son also gets his wife. We hope this from Allah."

Fatma Helluş, who expressed her sadness and sickness for his son's wife, said, "Our bride went to Syria for the funeral of his brother and stuck in there. She is stuck there for 4 months because we do not have money. My son wants his wife back. He's very upset. He got sick for her. We are waiting for help." (ILKHA)
