Eyewitness Salih Akbulut stated that while he was passing by the road, he saw the Qur'an in the trash box and was shocked to see that he and the citizens witnessed it.

Akbulut said that the doorman of the building did not know that it was the Qur'an in the collapsed bags. "I learned that the doorman of the building at the end of the Yılmazlar Center had thrown away Qur’ans and books belonging to FETO. When I asked why the doorman had thrown away the Qur'an and the books, he told me that these books were given to him by the authorities of the Cihan News Agency, which had previously been in the building, to throw them away. He said that he had ten sack books given to him and that he wanted all of them to be thrown away."

Akbulut reacted to the event and stated that the Qur’ans in were taken by himself and citizens and taken to the Yıldız mosque.

It was learned that the Cihan News Agency, which is alleged to be the representative of the ugly event that attracted the great reaction of the Batman citizens, closed the office in the building after delivering the Qur'an and books to the doorman. (ILKHA)
