ISTANBUL - The 3rd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Palestinian Scholars of Abroad took place in Istanbul.

The Palestinian Scholars of Abroad has held the 3rd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting in Istanbul. Director of Religious Affairs Mehmet Görmez, Vice President of Ittihadul Ulema Molla Mehmet Beşir Şimşek, and Chairman of Free Jerusalem Platform Mehmet Eşin and many other scholars from Syria, Lebanon and Jordan also attended the meeting.

Vice President of Ittihadul Ulema Molla Mehmet Beşir Şimşek made explanation to ILKHA after the meeting found that the third Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Palestinian scholars abroad will lead the unity of the Islamic world and in the liberation of Palestine.

Stating that the occupation of the Palestinian lands by Zionists is due to the scattering of Islamic scholars and the Muslims moving away from each other, Şimşek emphasized that the meeting of Islamic scholars can lead the unity and liberation of Muslims.

Şimşek said, "We have been invited as a member of the Ittihad to meeting the scholars of the other countries to meet with the scholars of the other Islamic countries. We have participated in this program first of all we wish that this program will lead the success of the whole Islamic world especially the Palestinian cause. We know that the Palestine issue within the whole Muslims issue is because the Islamic society, Islamic scholars, and Muslims are far away from the unity of Muslims. We hope that the meeting of Islamic scholars in different ways will bring about the unity and salvation of the Muslims. We also thank the organization of outside Palestinian Scholars for this occasion." (ILKHA)
