BURSA - Gays' so called pride demonstration would be held in Bursa, was cancelled due to reactions shown by mainly Mustazaflar Cemiyeti (Association of oppressed) and other NGOs.

Some LGBT groups planned to held demonstration in Bursa to support the LGBT demonstration hold in Istanbul last week, but due to strong reaction of mainly Mustazaflar Cemiyeti Bursa branch, other Islamic NGOs, religious people living at the city and other institutions.

In the demonstration so called gay pride honor walk hold in Taksim square of Istanbul last week, very bad insults were done to other values of Islam besides Ramadan-i-Sharif.

Reacting to the demonstration that insults were done to sensitivities of Islam and Muslims Mustazaflar Cemiyeti Bursa branch also did hold a press release. In the press release hold by Mustazaftar Cemiyeti pointed out that the demonstration planned in Bursa was aiming provocation and the action shouldn’t have been considered as an innocent demonstration, so that Mustazaflar cemiyeti called for the demonstration to be canceled.

NGOs were being called to react for this heresy demonstration

Holding the press meeting on behalf of Mustazaflar cemiyeti which is member of the Prophet lovers platform, Cemil Genc urged NGOs, and other communities to react against such action that is not related to Islam at all.

After the statement was widely reported in the local and national media, LGBT groups announced the cancellation of the demonstration which was planned to be hold on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard.

In the statement made by an association of LGBTI groups, it was indicated that the Bursa governorate canceled the demonstration.

"The demonstration was canceled due to legitimate reactions"

Hearing the news of the cancellation of the demonstration  Mustazaflar Society Bursa branch president Cemil Genc, indicated that the biggest reason of the cancellation was  that the reaction of the citizens and pointed out that they were thankful to the citizens of Bursa for their sensitivity and said; ‘’ We thank Allah for this’’.

Indicating that Muslims, shouldn’t remain silent when insults made to values of Islam, Genc said “The press release that we hold and the cancellation shown that every anti-Islam should be reacted necessarily. We have shown our fair reaction by explaining the inner side of the event. So thank Allah we have received fruition.” (ILKHA)
