MARDIN - Legal action took for 15 people in the operation allegedly cockfighting in Mardin, 25 cocks were confiscated.

Operation took place on the claims of ‘cockfighting’ bet and legal action has been made for 15 people in Kızıltepe, district of Mardin, 25 cocks were confiscated.

According to the information, operation carried out on Atatürk Neighborhood, in Kızıltepe district on an address for “Cock Fight". In the operation organized by Kızıltepe District Police Directorate, the field created for the fight determined that the roosters were waiting and some people were betting.

When the A.Y. was taken into custody for organizing the rooster fight and betting, the legal action was taken against 14 people on the grounds that they were betting.

In the search made to the address, 25 cocks and betting papers where the names and numbers were written were confiscated.

Roosters were delivered to the branches of the Mardin Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch. (M. Salih Keskin - ILKHA)
