Syrians are enjoying here and our young people martyred in Al-Bab: Kılıçdaroğlu
GAZIANTEP - Turkish opposition party CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who came to Gaziantep within the scope of the referendum studies, talked about the Syrian refugees, saying “Our young people are martyrs in El-Bab and Syrians have fun here.”
CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met with NGO representatives, local authorities and opinion leaders in Gaziantep. Kılıçdaroğlu's talk here about the Syrian refugees took attention.
Kılıçdaroğlu, who is in criticism of the constitutional amendment package that will be presented to the public on 16 April, objected to this situation by stating that if “yes” come forward in the referendum then citizenship will be granted to the Syrians.
Kılıçdaroğlu, who uses striking expressions for the Syrians, said, “They are first class citizen and second class citizen is our citizen, they do not wait in the hospitals for their patients and our citizens wait their order in the hospitals. They have fun here and our young people are martyred in Al-Bab.”
In Gaziantep where about 400 thousand Syrians live, and sometimes provocative events occurred, the “othering, exclusivist” talk of Kılıçdaroğlu drew attention. (İbrahim Koçyiğit - ILKHA)
