Martyr mothers evaluate decision of Yasin Börü case
DIYARBAKIR - Mothers of the martyrs evaluated the punishment gave to murderer of Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Riyad Güneş and Hasan Gökgöz. Mothers emphasized that justice was not provided and that the instigators should also be tried.
Summary judgment of murderer of Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Riyad Güneş and Hasan Gökgöz, who were murdered by PKK/HDP during the attacks on October 6-7, 2014, was seen on April 24, 2017.
The court is sentenced 16 defendants to 5 times aggravated life imprisonment, 5 times life imprisonment for 2 confessed defendants, 22 years for 6 juveniles pushed to crimes, 5 year to imprisonment for a juvenile pushed to crime and acquittal for 13 defendants. The court made decision on 3 fugitives’ file to be apart.
Tearful martyrs' mothers evaluated to ILKHA, emphasized that they found the punishment given to the murderer of their children on the spot, but that the other members of the HDP Co-Chairman Selahattin Demirtaş and other instigators must also be punished.
Martyr Yasin Börü's mother Hatice Börü stated that the court decision made her happy partial and the real criminals are still outside and said, “Unless all the criminals, especially Selahattin Demirtaş, Zübeyde Zümrüt, their party members and PKK supporters, if not punished, no real justice will be provided. The decision to take was a breath, but did not satisfy us.”
Mother Börü stated that Demirtaş and Zümrüt made call for PKK / HDP supporters to pour in the streets and caused their children to be killed, reminded of calling of Zümrüt that targeted Islamic NGO’s before the events.
Mother Börü said, “During the days when the events took place there was no police for 4-5 days, no governor and no district governor. Why did they not help to our children? Why did they surrender the streets to the savages? Everyone heard this call for help. Why an investigation has not launched for those security forces? I call to authorities: Punishment to a couple of marauders have partially eased me, but they did not satisfy me.”
“Demirtaş and the police authorities at that time should also be tried”
When Yasin Börü and his friends were massacred, mother Börü pointed out that the owner of the house called the police and said, “The woman asked for help from police shouting and screaming. The police were talking to the woman as if they were mocking. Why that police has not tried, not prosecuted? Justice has not been achieved. When Yasin comes as alive, then the justice will be only provided. Justice is not done when their freedom is restricted. Justice is not like that. Justice will not be provided if they do not live step by step what they have done to our children. If they were not members of the PKK, then why they were shouting PKK slogans in the court? Demirtaş and the police authorities at that time must also be tried. Unless an investigation is launched about them, this real justice is not provided. If someone is satisfied with the decisions taken in this case, he/she put him/herself in our place, put their own child in the place of Yasin.”
“Demirtas, Zümrüt and Yüksekdağ are ignited the wick”
Martyr Hüseyin Dakak's mother Zerife Dakak said that the decision did not cover all the criminals. Emphasizing that some of the suspects in the case have escaped, Dakak said that these people were escaped because there were no investigation launched against them and paved the way for them to escape.
Mother Dakak request for Selahattin Demirtaş to be included in the events of October 6-7, said, “Selahattin Demirtaş, Zübeyde Zümrüt, Figen Yüksekdağ, are ignited the wick. These people were not included in the events of October 6-7. I really want them to be tried. We have been going to Ankara for 2.5 years but no results have been obtained. The incident took place in Diyarbakir near the police station, and our children were killed in a place close to the police station.”
“It was a comedy played there," Dakak said and remarked that the case was diluted too much. Mother Dakak continued as, “They were lying a lot. They were saying that they are Kurdish, but the ones killed were also Kurds. They turned Diyarbakır into Kobane. They called Daesh to our children but they made more massacres. We come to the court for such a long time. I want the arrest of real killers, the landlord, Hasan Okçu, Hüseyin Okça and Yıldız Doğanay. I do not think Yıldız Doğanay is a mother. A mother cannot make her son a killer. I am in the call of all the authorities to arrest them.”
Mehtap Gökgöz, mother of Hasan Gökgöz, recalled that her son was brutally murdered on October 6-7 and voiced that they did not find the justice required in court.
Mother Gökgöz said, "The blood was all around, on the walls, on the tables. Those acquitted people how they were acquainted. Yusuf Er, who was the witness of the events, identified the person who had cut off his hand, but the court released him. I request those who released to be arrested again and be punished, within Selahattin Demirtaş. Those they brought from Kobane, from Sinjar were attacked on the Muslims. We keep going to the courts close to 3 years. The door of my son’s room is still closed. We have never forgotten.”
“The evidence of their martyrdom is that the drops of blood fall on the ground”
Gökgöz drew attention to the lies of suspects in the court, said, “Allah, the Lord of the Worlds had heard from them. The evidence of their martyrdom is that the drops of blood fall on the ground. We are pleased our lives, we do not regret it. When Allah asks us ‘What did you sacrifice on the path of Allah?’ we will answer we sacrificed our sons. And what will they say? How will they account to Allah?”
Martyr Riyad Güneş's mother, Kıymet Güneş, wanted the arrests of the criminals, the authorities and the landlord too.
Expressing that they were partially satisfied with the decision but the justice hasn’t provided as it should be said Kıymet Güneş, the mother of Martyr Riyad Gunes, pointed out the instigators at the background of the events, stating that the attacks could not be limited to 50-60 persons.
Mother Güneş said, "They came from Kobane, or came from somewhere else. How did they come, who brought them? Who are their leaders? All of them have to be caught, and the person named Doğan and his owner must be caught.” (M. Sıddık Bilge - ILKHA)
