Qatar to buy war planes from US worth $ 12 billion
NEWS CENTER - Qatar will get $ 12 billion worth of F15 war planes from the United States.
Qatar's defense ministry said in a statement that the agreement with the United States would buy the F15 battle plane worth $ 12 billion.
Qatar's Defense Minister Khalid bin Muhammad al-Atiye met with US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis in Washington for the signing ceremony of the agreement.
“The agreement will involve a tremendous amount of talent for Qatar's defense, and will enhance the bilateral security cooperation between the United States and Qatar,” the US Defense Department said in a statement on the issue.
Joint Military Exercise from Qatar and USA
In a statement made by the Qatari Defense Ministry, it was stated that the two US warships arrived at Hamad International Port, south east of Doha.
It was noted that the war vessels came to participate in a joint exercise with Qatar Emirate Naval Forces. Information on the date and content of the exercise was not given.
In the explanation, a group of officials from the Qatar Emir Navy welcomed crew members on the war ship.
The exercise is said to be the first joint exercise between Qatar and some Arab countries since the crisis that broke out about 10 days ago. (ILKHA)
