SIRNAK - Speaking on the iftar program organized by the party in Şırnak, HUDA PAR Vice Chairman Bahattin Temel, said that Hakkari and Şırnak are historic and ancient cities.

HUDA PAR Şırnak Provincial Presidency organized iftar program within the scope of the Ramadan meeting. Speaking here Vice President Bahattin Temel stated that the fall of Şırnak and Hakkari from being provinces to the district level will increase the grievances, and stated that both provinces are historic and ancient.

Following the Qur'an's recitation of the Nurettin Tatar, HUDA PAR Vice President Temel made a speech addressing the participants and stated that Ramadan should be used in the most beautiful way.

Temel said, “The month of Ramadan is the month of unity and solidarity. Allah may reach us to the Laylat al-Qadr and Eid with a pure face. Ramadan also is an opportunity month for Muslims. Our hope is that all Muslims benefit from this month, increase their practice and decrease their sins.”

Stating that the efforts and services of Islam will never be lost in these lands, Temel said: “The people of Şırnak have lived very hard in recent years and still living. As people of the region we all live in great difficulties. Our people live under persecution and difficulties since the establishment of the republic. This persecution maybe has been done to all Muslims but we Kurdish Muslims exposed more. We have been persecuted twice, first because we are Muslims and second because we are Kurds.”

“We want the injustice and cruelty to end,” said Temel, who addressed to government from the city of Noah Prophet for the living persecution and injustice, added, “It is a matter of great oppression and the fall of Şırnak from being a province will double the injustice. Şırnak and Hakkari our historic and ancient cities. We do not say don’t bring Yüksekova and Cizre to the provinces level, make them provinces. But you are destroying another place when you are making a place.” (ILKHA)
