NEWS CENTER - New footage of SAT commandos in the assassination squad attacked the hotel where President Erdoğan was staying in Marmaris on 15 July coup attempt night has revealed.

New footage of assassination team participated in the attack on the hotel in Marmaris where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was staying has revealed. “I was going to be killed if I stayed 15 more minutes,” said Erdoğan that time.

In the images that ILKHA has reached, the assassination team is heading towards the hotel where President Erdoğan was staying, and it is heard that intense clashes are rising.

For the hotel raid, it was determined that three SAT helicopters from Yeşilköy Military Airport were assigned to the Beykoz SAT Command, and three minibusses and two private automobiles which one with fake plates went to Yeşilköy on the night of coup attempt.

The assassination squad participated in the assassination operation accompanied by the other coup helicopters carrying soldiers from İzmir Çiğli Air Base on the evening of 15th of July. 3 helicopters also participated in the assassination plan by moving from Yeşilköy to Marmaris.

The assassination squad, whose faces were masked and carrying heavy weapons, came down from the helicopters that stayed motionless for a while on Erdoğan’s hotel.

Nedip Cengiz Eker and Presidential guard police officer Mehmet Çetin had lost their lives in the conflict as police clashes with the military coup who shot and bombed the area.

After the conflicts that continued until the morning hours, coup troops fled to the forested area.

A major operation had launched that time for the capture of escaped assassination squad, which they were caught after days. (ILKHA)
