Ten years in prison for US citizen accused of spying
NEWS CENTER - A US citizen with dual citizenship in Iran has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying.
Iranian jurisdiction spokesman Gulam Hussein Muhsini Ejesi announced that an American citizen with double citizenship was sentenced to 10 years in prison for accusing him of espionage.
Muhsini Ejei said that while the other citizenship of the US citizen was a country other than Iran, he did not give information about his identity.
Muhsini Ejesi, who said that the US citizen collected information and was directed by the US, said that the sentence could be appealed.
In the past year, Iranian citizens with dual citizenship of Canada, England, Austria, and France were arrested on charges of “spying and cooperating with hostile states”. (ILKHA)
