We want to inform Turkish and Kurdish people on this issue. We want Kurds and Turks, to respect the will of the Kurds.”

The Kurds in Iraqi Kurdistan, especially in the Saddam period, said that they gave very heavy prices, Bucak continued as: “Despite this, the Kurds want to solve the issues in Iraq and Kurdistan in general through democratic means, and therefore there will be a referendum as a right, problems will be solved in peace. We believe that the Kurds have the right to determine their own future. I hope that a big ‘yes’ vote will come in the referendum and peace and interest come to the region.”

“The Kurds have the right to decide on their own future”

HUDA PAR Chairman Yapıcıoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the visit and said, “We have been saying since the beginning: Like every nation, Kurds also have the right to make decisions about their own future. As we have said before, we also say the same. The people of Iraq Kurdistan, not only the Kurds but also the people living in Iraqi Kurdistan, regardless of their religion, descendants or sects, have the power to make decisions about their own future. This decision can be a continuation of the federal structure or a decision of independence. Second issue; regardless of which decision the people of Kurdistan make, we, including everyone, especially Turkiye, Iran and other countries in the region, who fall in the neighbors, should respects even if they do not like it.”

“Show your brother and lay claim to Kurds”

Saying that they understand the worries Turkiye and Iran they have about the referendum decision, Yapıcıoğlu said, "We, as a third point, say that if we want the problems and debates to be resolved, extend your hand to your Kurdish brothers, show your brotherhood and lay claim the Kurdish. We believe that the problem and the affairs will be resolved in this way.”

“There should be respect to the taken decision”

Yapıcıoğlu added that Kurdish politics is not yet clear after the people of Kurdistan make a decision. “Maybe after Kurdistan people make a decision on independence, Kurdish politics, Kurdistan administration can say to Baghdad that the ‘Kurdistan people will not be able to walk with you anymore. You also make a decision by looking at your situation. Will you recognize our rights as you determined when the Iraq Constitution was drafted, will you walk with us?’ Maybe they will say so. ‘It is not clear yet and we do not know.’ Like I said, there should be respect to the taken decision. We want the issues to be solved peacefully, without blood, without pain, and without punishment.” (Abdurrahman Tetik, Suat Tink - ILKHA)
