The 10-members Kılıç family living in a one-roomed house, which is about to collapse, is waiting for a helping hand to reach them.

The Kılıç family in Bitlis center Hersan Neighborhood is wrenching the hearts of those who see the drama. The family which their own house had collapsed, struggling to survive in the one-roomed house belong to their neighbors.

Living in a one-roomed house where there is no living room, kitchen or electricity, the Kılıç family is waiting for help from philanthropists and institutions. The one-room house they are in is about to collapse, and the family, expressing that they cannot sleep because of the fear of the snakes, said that they are waiting for help in desperation.

“No electrical, bathroom and kitchen at home”

Reşit Kılıç, who stated that they stayed in a one-roomed house belonging to their neighbors, that they did not have electricity in the room they stayed in and that they gave life struggle by sitting up till morning in a room of 20 square meters together with 8 daughters. “We are 10-member staying in this one bedroom house together with my 8 daughters. There is no electricity, bathroom, and kitchen in the house. We cannot sleep in fear of snakes at night. We already cannot lay down to sleep with 10 people in this small room anyway. Every side is filled with snakes. One of the pillars of my earthly house that I owned before collapsed. Every day in this one-roomed house we stay, the cat catches the snake. We are in a very difficult situation.”

“We cannot sleep under the fear of snakes”

The one-roomed house they had stayed for, indicating that their neighbor gave them for God's sake, demanded help from the governor and philanthropists, saying: “One of our neighbors told us that we can stay but also warned that it is dangerous and there are snakes. There is no electricity as you see it. We were forced to stay in. I just want my house to be built from charity and governor. They make the ceiling of my house. I want nothing else. Since we do not have any other facilities, we live in this room as a 10-membered family with my 8 daughters. We are in a very difficult situation. We are waiting for charitable assistance. May Allah be pleased with them.”

8 sisters, living together in a one-roomed house. One of the sisters named Zehra Kılıç expressed by asking for help, “At this time we are staying in a one-roomed house with a population of 10 people. We do not have a place to sleep and cook, we are waiting for help. There are snakes everywhere. We cannot sleep at night from the smell of the snakes.” (Şükrü Tontaş - ILKHA)
