Summer schools overcrowded with students
VAN - Ikra Education Association (IKRA-DER) has opened summer schools in Van where children are learning and having fun at the same time. The children are enjoying the fun activities, taking part in both educational lessons and social activities.
The summer schools opened by IKRA-DER in Mehmet Erdemoglu Anadolu School will continue to be open until the 14th of August. Students have shown high interest to the summer school.
Ikra-Der education manager has spoken to Ilke News Agency about the summer school. He says they are teaching students various topics and their priority is to teach the children about the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.V).
“Our aim is to help children make the most out of summer in the best way without getting them bored.” Ilbay says as IKRA-DER, they arrange this course every year in the aim of children spending the summer both by learning and having fun. He says, “Schools are on their summer break so we are teaching the children the life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.V) and other Islamic teachings in the form of lessons.”
“Our priority is to teach the life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.V) to the children”
Our aim is to especially teach the morals of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.V) to the children. Ilbay says, “Our aim is to teach the life of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.V) to the children throughout the course. Our second priority is to study the Prophet’s teaching methods. Nowadays our children are lacking on manner rules. We are giving lessons on manners so that they understand the relationship of the social life. As well as these, we have chess lessons and many other social activities.”
After giving some information about the summer schools Ilbay says, “Our lessons are from 9:30-12:30 during weekdays. The course lasts a month and we make sure children carry on coming without getting bored. We also keep lessons short not to bore them. Our course started on the 20th of July and will end on the 14th of August.”
“Our summer course was very productive last year”
Ilbay states that the summer course they organized last year was successful. He says, “We first started the summer schools last year. We have seen the blessings from the course we did last year. Families have especially requested us to arrange it this year. In the future, we aim to improve our education and have many more activities.”
“In this course I am both learning and having fun”
Nur Ahmet Ekinci says, “These type of educations are beneficial. We learn various lessons here. As well as lessons, we play many different games and enjoy our time. We play chess and football with friends. In this course I am both learning and having fun.”
Taha Uygun says he would recommend this course to his friends and adds, “May Allah be content with my teachers. In this summer month they have come to teach us our religion and make us have fun. Both our lessons and the activities are very fun. I recommend this course to my other friends and advise them to come.” (ILKHA)
