The eagerness to study of the disabled student brought success
SANLIURFA - The success of disables students in matriculation in the Şanlıurfa’s Siverek province shows once again that being disabled is not an obstacle to be the success.
The success story of disabled young Siverek showed once again that being disabled in all areas of life is not a hindrance, even to win university entrance exam.
Ramazan Gündoğar, 21-years-old, living in a 60-square-meter, two-roomed home in Hasan Çelebi Neighborhood of the district, won the medical faculties of university examinations thanks to his work eagerness.
Ramazan Gündoğar, who was unable to use his right hand and right legs normally due to balance coordination disturbance developed on the right side due to hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) that occurred during his birth in his brain, won Erciyes University Medical Faculty with 473 points with his study eagerness.
Gündoğar, who lives with 5 siblings in a 2-roomed house due to economic troubles, was prepared for the university exam in the kitchen in order to not disturb his brothers and sisters. On the one hand, the young man who continued to the rehabilitation center for the treatment of his illness hasn’t given up his determination to study despite all the negativities.
Gündoğar stated that he is happy to have won the department he wanted, “We are 5 brothers and sisters living in a house of 60 square meters with my mother. I live in this house for a long time. I was studying in the kitchen because there is no possibility to study in the room. Because of my illness, I was studying on the one hand and going to the rehabilitation center. I run these two together. Despite these conditions, I won the department I wanted.”
“I have been studying regularly”
Gündoğar who connects the secret of his success to regularity, “I studied regularly, studying without worrying about any negativity. I have a birth disabilities. I have trouble with my right hand and my right foot because my brain remained without oxygen during birth. These problems were not a barrier to success.
