Islamic weddings spread across Turkey
KONYA - Wedding ceremony is accepted as the first step into marriage life and Islamic wedding ceremonies are widely spreading across Turkey.
Society pays importance on wedding tradition and more people each day are organising their wedding ceremonies in accordance to Islamic measures.
In Islamic wedding ceremonies men and women sit separately accompanied with hymns. Most recently there was an Islamic wedding in Cihanbeyli town in Konya.
Ozlem Agency prepared Kurdish and Turkish music albums of Bilal Guler and Konya Group Davet. Ozlem Agency has contributed in spreading the idea of Islamic wedding ceremonies with their music albums. Dervis Koca as the wedding keeper remarked that this is the first Islamic wedding in the town and as there were no alternatives ceremonies was not in accordance with Islamic measures. We hope that this wedding ceremony will set an example to the neighbourhood said Koca.
The wedding ceremony began with the reading of Quran alongside Ozkan Yaman known as a researcher and television programmer also made a short speech.

“Weddings are a gift from our prophet (pbuh). Just like our pohpets (pbuh) wedding with Hatice or Ali’s wedding with Fatima. It is our responsibility to keep alive our prophets sunnah whether in the village or in the city.” said Yaman. (ILKHA)
