The 8-year-old Ahmet Taha Altun came from overseas to visit his family in Batman. He donated his school money, which he had saved up to Umut Help Platform’s member Umut-Der Association Food Bank.

Ahmet Taha saved up and donated 50 euros to Umut-Der Association Food Bank to reach out to people in need.

Ahmet Taha remarked that he was very happy about his donation, “I had heard about Umut-Der Association’s previous activities. I saved up my pocket money that my parents gave to me for school. We came to Batman to visit our family and today we visited Umut-Der Addociation with my parents and I donated the money I had saved up. My peers can also support families in need. We should not always think about ourselves, we should be thinking about children who are in need,” said Talha.

Izzeddin Ekinci as a member of the Association has said that he is very happy about the young boys donation and support and that more children, wealthier families in particular, should help those in need.

Umut-Der Association deputy executive Izzeddin Ekinci stated that, “This young boys contribution has affected us emotionally. Our future will be bright with these kids.” (ILKHA)
