IZMIR - Civil Society Organisations in Izmir supported the campaign ‘Distribute the Qurbani meat that Yasin Boru couldn’t’.

Statements of support to the ‘Distribute the Qurbani meat that Yasin Boru couldn’t’ campaign continue to arrive in memory of Yasin Boru and his friends who were murdered by the PKK militants last Eid-ul Adha.

In Turkey hundreds of Civil Society Organisations supported the campaign; Umut Kapis Help institution and Mustazaflar Community in Izmir also announced that they would support. Association officials along with all the members and volunteers in Izmir informed that in the second day of Eid-al Adha, they will be wearing t-shirts of Yasin Boru’s photo printed and will distribute sacrificial meat to needy orphans.

"Yasin has now become an icon"

Izmir Umut Kapisi Help Association President Haji Sani states Yasin Boru has became a symbol; "As you know Yasin Boru and his friends were slain last year, in Eid-al Adha. Yasin has now become an icon. We are giving our support from Izmir to the campaign ‘Distribute the Qurbani meat that Yasin Boru couldn’t’ that Umut Kervan Platform have started. On this occasion we are going to distribute our meat to the poor and needy on the second day of Eid-al Adha as Yasin Boru and his friends did last year. We are inviting all Civil Society Organisations and Aid institutions in Izmir to distribute meat to the poor like Yasin.”

"We will support with all our members and volunteers"

Mustazaflar Community Izmir Branch President Muhammed Akgul stressing that they would support along with all the members and volunteers in the campaign; claimed the brutal murder of Yasin Boru and his friends made an echo in the whole country and hurt the conscience of everyone who has conscience.

Akgul, "So this year, hundreds of Civil Society Organisations made this into a campaign, and we Mustazaf Community will support and attend the ‘Distribute the Qurbani meat that Yasin Boru couldn’t’ campaign. We invite all our members and volunteers are to support this campaign.” (ILKHA)
