‘How they will answer Allah who deems this unfairness proper to us’
VAN - Nevzat Ucak’s family reacted against the verdict that Nevzat Ucak due to his Islamic services was arrested in 2000s then acquitted however he was sent to prison again 14 years later.
Reacting to the verdict that just because of his Islamic services Nevzat Ucak was arrested in 2000 then acquitted but however arrested again in 2014, the family indicated that this unlawfulness decision is the result of 28 February period which was condemned in consciences and how they will answer Allah who deems this unfairness proper to us.
Persecution conducted against Muslims during 28 February period is still going on. A very clear example of this has seen in Van province. During 28 February post-modern coup period, Nevzat Ucak was beaten in front of his children over he was just teaching Quran to children and taking part in Islamic activities then jailed for one and a half year innocently.
Nevzat Ucak was released after he had been declared innocent in the court but he was arrested again last year in ongoing trial.
Indicating that they cannot make sense of this grievance, the family feels sorrow of having another Eid Al-adha without their father and looking forward to servicing of justice at once.
“Do they take pleasure of being apart from their father in an Eid Al-Adha?”
Nevzat Ucak’s spouse Aysel Ucak said that her husband was sent to prison unlawfully and she and her children were all devastated and faced with a lot of problems alone.
Mrs. Ucak said that, “Numerous of people are still in prison due to their Islamic services. This persecution must be ended. I just wonder whether they take pleasure of being apart from their husband or father in an Eid al-Adha.”
Drew attention to the unfair judicial practices, Aysel Ucak indicated that her husband was detained after they had just married unimpeachably and he stayed in prison for one and a half year. After he was released from prison he was again arrested and sent to prison last year.
“My husband’s wrongdoings are performing prayer, reciting Quran and teaching Quran”
“We were just married when he was arrested it was about four months of our marriage. My husband was pounded up in front of children just because of teaching Quran. Then he was jailed. I started to stay with my mother in law. I had a lot of difficulties. I know his only wrongdoings were performing prayer, reciting Quran and teaching Quran to children” said Mrs. Ucak
“Cops: What’s it to you to guide children to the straight path?”
Recep Ucak who witnessed his brother’s pounded up in front of children said that, “My brother was arrested while he was teaching Quran to children in 2000s. Police battered him in front of my eyes. Blood ran down from his cheeks dropped on Quran. I was a child then and this scene never offs from my mind. Police raided to the mosques said my brother ’what’s it to you to guide these children to the straight path…”
“We demand a fair judgement”
Indicating that not only his brother but we know there are hundreds of people are still in prison simply because of their Islamic identity without any evidence or cases, Recep Ucak said that, “There are hundreds of Muslims sentenced for life innocently. These people must be reheard impartially that their innocence come to light.”
Little girl’s altruism
Merve Ucak, Nevzat Ucak’s daughter, said she misses her father very much and added that, “We miss our father very much however my father’s prison time is short but the other Muslims sentenced for a lifetime imprisonment. May Allah give their children patience. Their children also have Eids without their fathers. Even though we are in a Muslim country we suffer a lot. May Allah doesn’t forgive this from them.”
“I call everyone to release my father”
Meryem Ucak also said that, “I call everyone to release my father. My father is in prison that he only performed prayer, recited Quran and taught Quran to children.” (ILKHA)
