AKSA-DER Association held a mass press meeting after the Friday prayer outside Ulu Mosque, reacting to the DBP MP who hung billboards in Diyarbakir with caricatures insulting Prophet Muhammad.

The Head of AKSA-DER Association Mustafa Bilgic made a short speech before the press meeting, “Our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) spent all his life struggling for his ummah. He suffered just so todays one and half billions of Muslims be in this in position. He was subject to an embargo and he lost all his friends but regardless of these he never gave up on saying ‘my ummah’. He always thought of his us and his ummah came before everything. We therefore declare that we sacrifice our lives for him. Our Prophet comes before our life.”

During Mustafa Bilgic’s speech it was noted that the crowd were shouting damn the PKK slogans.

“They will all disappear”

“We condemn those who insult the Prophet in this state. They should not assume that we will remain silent to such act. These murderers and cruel people will end up having no where to go just the way Makkah was conquest and enemies of Islam had no where to go. They will all disappear. This has always been the case throughout the history.”

Hamdullah Er then read out AKSA-DER’s statement.

“As you all remember in 2006 a newspaper published a caricature insulting prophet Muhammad in Denmark which resulted in indignation of the Islam Ummah and all Muslims around the world reacted strictly against the poster. Today DBP Diyarbakir Yenisehir Council has done the same thing. It is obvious to us that today those who hung the billboard were also the murderers and enemies of Islam who caused the 6-7 October incidents.”

Er added that, “We as AKSA-DER are here calling out to all Islamic communities. Don’t remain silent! Don’t stop! Raise your voice up against these ignoble people.” (ILKHA)
