GAZIANTEP - The voters in Gaziantep are being searched before entering the polling stations to vote.

There has been strong security protection across the whole of Turkey especially in East and Southern east. The voters in Gaziantep are being searched before they enter the polling stations.

1 million 339 thousand and 503 voters in Gaziantep are expected to vote in 3 thousand and 488 ballots so security measures have been taken in accordance to the figures. Across the city there are in total 6 thousand and 114 police officers, gendarme and rangers. 4 thousand 74 of which are police officers, 2 thousand and 40 gendarmes and 413 rangers.      

Vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering to school playgrounds where voters vote. Voters are searched one by one before allowing entry into the schools and it has been reported that only presiding officers and ballot staff are allowed to wait in the school classrooms and corridors.

12 MP names are due to be clarified at the end of the elections. (ILKHA)
