Disabled teen in Tarsus has been missing for 27 months

Regardless of all investigation and search across Tarsus and Mersin the teen's family has stated that their disabled child has still not been found. No trace has been found in the past 27 months so the young boys family are now calling out for help from the public and authorities.

Father Yavuz Barut remarked that they have been looking for their son everywhere for the past 27 months but they still haven’t found any trace.

“We spend everyday in pain”

“My mentally disabled son with heart problems has been missing for 27 months. We are in a very bad condition and we want our son to be found as soon as possible. He has to have an injection every 3 weeks due to his condition. We are requesting help from the government, prime minister and president. We want our province governor and gendarme to also support us. My son Yakup is mentally disabled and naive. Thinking about him, we spend every single day in pain and sorrow. If anyone has seen him, please get in contact with us. Some reported that our son has been made to beg in Erdemli, Silifke and Mut but regardless of our search we have not been able to find him. Whoever is making him beg may have taken him outside Mersin too. We urge that anyone who sees my son to contact us or the police” said father Barut.

Mother Barut: My son is ill and helpless

“My son has been missing for 27 months and we haven’t been able to trace anything. I wake up every morning with a hope that my son might be found. Whoever is keeping my son should let go of him and return him home. I will not report them as long as they let my son go. My son cannot express himself and he cannot speak properly. My son is ill and helpless. We urge that anyone who see him to contact us.”

Yakup Barut was gone missing when he was cycling outside his house in Tarsus Yesilevler District 27 months ago. Regardless of all investigations and search he has not been found. (ILKHA)
