Mufti Arvas: Destroying the mosques is unacceptable

Another reaction to the mosques which were burnt in Sur district of Diyarbakir, Dargecit and Nusaybin districts of Mardin came from Van provincial mufti Nimetullah Arvas.

Indicating that each of mosques is a branch of Kaaba, Van provincial mufti Nimetullah Arvas said "destruction of mosques is provision of persecution."

Conducting statements about the subject, Arvas indicated that also religious affairs presidentship made statements about the subject and continued; “As you know the first temple built on the earth is Kaaba. All of the masjids on the earth are branch of Kaaba. “

"Who can be more persecutor than those who obstacles the Allah’s name to be mentioned in the masjids of Allah”

Reminding that in the Holly Quran and in the Hadith-i Sharif’s there are many reminiscent about the mosques, mufti Arvas continued as;

There are many verses in Quran about the masjids to be built, repaired and worshiping in masjid. In the chapter Tevbe 18th verse our holly creator says ‘Only those who have faith in Allah, worships, gives Zakat and doesn’t expect anyone to help them but Allah, build the masjids of Allah. ’Also in the chapter Bakara Allah says; “Who can be more persecutor than those who try to obstacle the name of Allah to be mentioned in the masjids and those who try to destruct them.”

"To build mosques is provision of faith and to burn them is provision of persecution"

Indicating that to build the mosques is provision of faith and to destroy them is provision of persecution, mufti Arvas said; “In the holy Quran it is indicated that to obstacle Allah’s name to be mentioned in the mosques, to close the mosques or to destroy them have been indicated as provision of persecution and it was emphasized that ‘who can be more persecutor than these’. Therefore the mosques are the hearts of Islam and heart beats in the mosques.”

"Believers should not be insensitive about the point of claiming the mosques"

Of course the bellievers to be insensitive about repairing the mosques and about the mosques being destroyed is not an acceptable point. Because the mosques are houses of Allah. Prophet (PBUH) says that ‘Each of the mosques is house of Allah’. Therefore to destroy the mosques is similar to destroying houses of Allah. ”

Finally reminding that there are the masjits that are under the persecution around the globe, mufti Arvas prayed as; “We wish from Almighty Allah all of the mosques especially Al-Aksa to be protected, not to be destroyed, not to be burned.” (ILKHA)
