MERSIN - PKK militants attacked students who were taken from Diyarbakır to Mersin within an organization held by Youth and Sports Ministry. Cafer Gizli was martyred during this attack.

Another Brutality from PKK

A group of students who were taken from Sur to Mersin within an organization held by Youth and Sports Ministry were attacked by PKK militants savagely and slain a boy named Cafer (Hüseyin) Gizli.

According to the reports, a group of students from Diyarbakır Sur and different cities were taken to Silifke in Mersin province in an organization held by Youth and Sports ministry. A group of pro PKK students who were placed in the group hit at religious students while they were in 23 April accommodation facility belongs to City Youth Services and Sport Department.  During the brawl between these PKK students and religious students, pro PKK students attacked Cafer Gizli a 11th grade students with sharp objects. During the attack Cafer Gizli was martyred and some other students were wounded by these PKK thugs.

It is reported that one of the perpetrators of the incident M. D was arrested and 16 persons are being kept under custody.

Cafer Gizli’s body was transferred to Adana Forensic Morgue. Cafer Gizli was learnt that he was school mate of Yasin Boru who was slain savagely by PKK during 6-7 October protests.

It is also known that Cafer Gizli’s cousin Muhammed Nur Gizli was also slain by PKK thugs in 1990s. (ILKHA)
