Vice chairmen of HUDA PAR Aydın Gök, Eyüp Yanaç and Abdurahman Cens, member of executive board of Party Serkan Ramanlı, head of provincial office Mehmet Emin Doğru and other members also attended the press meeting.

Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu spoke about ongoing conflict in the region and new constitution works.

“Try an experienced choice gives no result”

Indicating that it must be perceived anymore that pursuing the conflicts bears no any positive result for the sake of people, Yapıcıoğlu said that: “People want peace and ease. They don’t want to smell powder and blood anymore. Government resorts military measures. Try an experienced choice gives no result. And I have to add this that the method carried out in Sur and Cizre doesn’t work. Doing the same thing in other districts like in Sur, Cizre and Silopi will bring no favor to people. Insisting on this method only means sending young people to death willfully. Must be said stop to that now.”

“There mustn’t be articles protecting the tutelage system in new constitution”

Speaking about the new constitution works, Yapıcıoğlu said: “New constitution discussions have occupied public agenda. We have seen CHP from the opposition parties left the negotiation table as they asserted their red lines. And the other opposition parties have no clear words on it. On the other hand government is seen determined to bid new constitution even if it is left alone on this issue. We declare it that there mustn’t be articles protecting the tutelage system.”

“What kind of a presidential system is demanded must be released to people”

Expressing his opinions about the presidential system, Yapıcıoğlu said: “Another discussion title is presidential system in agenda. There are some different models offered for presidential systems in the world. The discussion going on Turkey is locked on the system and we find discussion continue over names fully wrong . what kind of a presşdential system is demanded must be released to the public.

“The problem of determining the respondents in a possible solution process”

Talking about expectation for resuming the solution process talks, Yapıcıoğlu said: “Regarding HDP/PKK the only counterpart in the past was a big mistake, yet, saying that we will not accept them as a respondent for new process is also a big mistake. HDP is still one of the respondents in this process.”

“Lifting parliamentary immunity is not approvable”

Over a question about lifting the legislative immunity, Yapıcıoğlu said: “Judicial system in Turkey has been politicized. In a country where judicial system made its decision abide by their ideologies, lifting legislative immunity is not approvable by us.” (ILKHA)
