University student reunited with his family 338 days after kidnapped

Idris Doğan (20) and Zafer Tekman (20), students at Department of English Language and Literature in Hakkari University, were abducted by PKK on May 27 2015. While Idris Doğan, one of the abducted students, returned to his home earlier August, Zafer Tekman has reunited with his family after 338 days.

Abduction of the students in Hakkari (Colemerg), who were threatened many times by PKK because they were religious students, became a current issue, yet however initial attempts made by students’ families to get their children back proved futile.

Family of Idris Doğan and Zafer Tekman, who were constantly threatened by pro-PKK CODER member students because of their pious character, went to Hakkari and made researches about their sons.

Idris Doğan’s family, who talked to ILKHA at that time, said that they went to Hakkari to find their son and made every effort to reach him and even went to police but got no any result.

3 months after the abduction event, Idris Doğan was released and Zafer Tekman has reached his family today 338 days after he was kidnapped. (ILKHA)
